Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount plans to start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs under a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August worth $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm aiming to reveal full details in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Prior news had indicated the firm was looking to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
